These terms apply to purchases made through the Mean Hamster Software store. Product-specific license terms may also apply.
HamsterOS Free Download
HamsterOS is free beta software provided as-is. Before downloading or using it, you are responsible for backing up all computers, disks, and data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mean Hamster Software and its owners, employees, contractors, contributors, suppliers, and affiliates disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and are not liable for any claim, damage, data loss, hardware damage, or other liability arising from your use of HamsterOS.
Digital Downloads
Digital products are delivered through secure download links. Unless a product page or receipt states otherwise, download links expire after 30 days and allow up to 5 downloads.
Digital item sales are final. Because digital products can be copied after delivery, we do not offer refunds for digital downloads, Digital Wallet add-ons, ROM packages, disk images, or other downloadable products once the order is completed or a download link has been issued. If a download link fails or the wrong file was delivered, contact support and we will make reasonable efforts to correct the problem.
Digital Wallet
Digital Wallet is an optional hosted cloud-library add-on for eligible digital purchases. It is intended to let you re-download covered purchases from your Mean Hamster account while Mean Hamster Software remains in business, operates the Digital Wallet service, and can verify that the account or email address belongs to the original purchaser.
Digital Wallet is not a promise of perpetual storage or lifetime service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue hosted account, wallet, or download services, but we will make commercially reasonable efforts to give customers notice and a chance to download their eligible files before a planned shutdown of the Digital Wallet service.
Purchases And Access
You are responsible for keeping your receipt, account email, and local backup copies of downloaded files. If a file is unavailable or a download link fails shortly after purchase, contact support and we will help restore access where the order can be verified.
HamNet+ Subscriptions
HamNet is free browser software. HamNet+ is the optional hosted service for compatible classic computers and does not require a Hamster Extras purchase. New subscriptions can start from the HamNet+ plans page on a modern computer or through the restricted Activate + flow inside a Plus-capable HamNet client.
Unless cancelled, HamNet+ renews at the monthly or yearly rate shown during activation. You can cancel HamNet+ from your Mean Hamster account or through PayPal automatic payments. Cancelling HamNet+ does not cancel your separate Hamster Extras purchase, updater access, free HamNet software, local browser data, or eligible download access.
HamNet+ is intended for public browsing such as search, articles, documentation, forums, and other public web pages. Each successful top-level page load counts toward the monthly allowance shown for the selected plan; scrolling, typing, cached replies, and continued transfer of the same page do not count as additional page loads. Apart from the isolated Mean Hamster activation and PayPal approval flow, it should not be used for banking, medical portals, payment pages, sensitive account logins, adult content, malware, or CAPTCHAs.
Physical Orders
Physical products are fulfilled according to the shipping estimate shown on the product page or checkout receipt. Shipping estimates may change because of inventory, carrier, or production delays.
Paid preorders are charged when the order is placed. You may cancel a preorder for a full refund, including its shipping charge, at any time before it ships. If we cannot ship by the date stated when you ordered, we will email you with a revised date and give you the choice to accept the delay or cancel for a full and prompt refund. We will send a separate confirmation when the order ships.
Physical items may be returned for a refund within 30 days of delivery. Returned items must be complete and in substantially the same condition as received, except for defects or shipping damage reported to support. Shipping charges are not refundable unless the return is caused by our error or by a confirmed defective item. Contact support before returning a physical item so we can match the return to your order.
