AGI-64 and AGI-ANTIC are here: C64 and Atari adventures!

AGI-64 and AGI-ANTIC are ready to download! We are celebrating Sierra adventures on both the Commodore 64 and Atari 800, together in the free Sierra Game Compiler 1.0.57.

We love these adventures, and we love the machines that give them a different feel. Their colors, sound, keyboards, and quirks are part of the fun. Getting to revisit these worlds on two of our favorite computers makes this a special launch for us.

Atari 800, welcome to Daventry!

Atari fans, this launch is for you too! AGI-ANTIC brings King's Quest I to Atari 8-bit computers, with King's Quest I as its single launch title. Seeing Graham outside the castle in the Atari's own colors is something we could not wait to share.

AGI-ANTIC minimum requirements: Atari XL/XE with at least 64K RAM, or an Atari 800 with an Incognito board or similar upgrade.

Fourteen Sierra adventures for the C64

The launch supports fourteen original Sierra AGI titles on Commodore 64, including King's Quest I–IV, Space Quest I–II, Police Quest, and both Manhunter games. The compiler recognizes supported editions and automatically selects a 1 MiB EasyFlash or 2 MiB Magic Desk CRT for the C64 build.

From Daventry to the Arcada, there is plenty to explore. See the AGI-64 page for the complete C64 list and setup details for both computers.

Bring your own adventures

You need the original game data from your own copies of the supported AGI editions. No Sierra games or game data are bundled. Choose your game folder in the Windows compiler and let it check the edition before building.

Download the free Windows compiler from meanhamster.com. This is the home for AGI-64 downloads and updates.

If something goes wrong, use Report Bug in the compiler or send us a bug report. You can attach a screenshot to help us see what happened. We look forward to hearing how these adventures feel on your machine.
